Downtown Community Television is a non-profit media organization founded in 1972 that creates award-winning documentaries, leads youth media and continuing education programs, and runs an Academy Award-qualifying art-house cinema dedicated to non-fiction programming in New York\'s Chinatown. As Director of Development, I oversee all aspects of nonprofit organization’s fundraising strategy, with a focus on securing financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations to achieve revenue goals, expand donor and member engagement, and ensure the financial sustainability of the organization.Responsibilities include: • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy, with a focus on major gifts,corporate sponsorships, grants, membership program, and special events.• Lead efforts to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a diverse group of funders.• Set fundraising targets and work with the Executive team and Board to ensure that goalsare met or exceeded.• Collaborate with internal teams to align fundraising strategies with mission, programmatic goals,and organizational priorities.• Oversee the full lifecycle of grants, from research of funding opportunities to prospecting, proposal writing, submission, management, deliverables, impact tracking, reporting, and renewal. • Plan and execute donor recognition programs, including fundraising events, campaigns, personalizedcommunications, and other initiatives that engage the community and generate revenue.• Diversify and grow earned revenue opportunities.Learn more, attend screenings, take classes, and consider becoming a member!
