ABOUT CHARLOTTE GRIFFITHS

I am a University of Bristol postgraduate with over 10 years experience working in the public health sector at NHS Gloucestershire and Public Health England. I am currently Senior Programme Manager in the Primary Care Team, NHS Gloucestershire. Main tasks include to develop and implement improvement in primary medical care; develop the commissioning of enhanced services; manage the use of all PCN funding streams; responsible for Quality Improvement Investments in Primary Care.Prior to this, as Primary Care Service Development Manager I managed commissioned enhanced services (local, national) in primary medical care.From Nov 2020 I was re-deployed to Project Manage the Covid Vaccination Programme in Primary Care. Working at pace to support the 11 GP led Local Vaccination Sites across the county. Operational management included vaccination stock management, NHSE reporting, planning and modelling, contract management etc.Pre Nov 2020, I was a Locality Manager working in collaboration with Primary Care Networks and Integrated Locality Partnerships to ensure that local priorities were addressed through Population Health Management projects. I previously worked for the Public Health England Primary Care Unit for 5 years. This research unit undertakes community-based education in the areas of hygiene, self-care, management of infectious disease and antibiotic resistance. I managed two large PHE programmes: e-Bug educational project for children, communities and teachers; and TARGET (Treat Antibiotics Responsibly, Guidance, Education, Tools) for primary care antimicrobial prescribers. I also worked in the PCU as a Researcher (HEO) managing research projects and Researcher (EO) including: to assist in evaluation, modification and dissemination of materials for educators, to collect evaluation data through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and contribute to analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, write and report research findings. Previous work include: a Sports Tour Company, organising packages for schools, universities and clubs to destinations in the UK, Europe and Internationally, working in a secondary school as a Learning Support Assistant and in schools as a tennis coach. I play netball for Upton Netball Club in the Gloucestershire Premiership League.I am a Masters graduate with a first class knowledge of the NHS and public health, and excellent experience in project/programme management, team management and research. I have high expectations academically, morally and socially and always enjoy new challenges.
