Over 20 years of experience in income generation - spanning Buying, Merchandising, and Multi-Channel operations - I now apply my commercial background to the charity sector, where purpose and profit go hand in hand.Experience has included heading up the retail division of a hospice charity, overseeing 17 shops, multiple E-commerce platforms, logistics, and a central warehouse and donation centre. I have also overseen responsibility for Marketing, volunteer engagement, internal communications, and People strategies—ensuring that every touchpoint reinforces our brand, builds community, and drives income to support vital care services. I work closely with the Fundraising team to align strategies, share insights, and collaborate on joint initiatives that enhance income generation across the organisation. By connecting Retail and Fundraising, we create cohesive campaigns that maximise engagement, donations, and impact.I bring a strong understanding of how to optimise stock flow and donation strategies to maximise income, alongside vast experience in managing P & Ls to increase retail contribution to charitable objectives. I’m passionate about the role charity retail plays in the circular economy - championing sustainability, reducing waste, and giving second-hand goods a new life. This is further supported by my role as Non Executive Director for the Charity Retail Association. My background includes E-Commerce and physical shops across both global and independent businesses. I’m skilled in data and trend analysis, financial planning, and KPI management, with proven success in using insight to drive performance.As a qualified MBTI Practitioner, I use personality insights to help teams build trust, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively.
