About Charlotte Gavell
With over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector, I am passionate about creating positive social change through advancing equitable solutions. As a Program Coordinator at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, I support the US Program, Office of the President, in providing operational management to grant portfolios, budgets, and communications for various initiatives related to economic opportunity and education. I leverage my skills project management and nonprofit leadership to contribute to the foundation\'s mission and vision. Previously, I worked as the College Success & Housing Stability Manager and Financial Stability Program Coordinator at United Way of King County. In these roles I built and scaled programs to address systemic barriers to basic needs to basic needs and improve educational, economic, and housing access for postsecondary students. I have a Bachelor\'s degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Saint Michael\'s College, and a certificate in Non-Profit management from the University of Washington Evans School of Public Policy and Governance. I speak English, and am conversational in Spanish and Acoli, and I have an interest in learning about cultures and diverse perspectives. I am looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join a team that shares my values and goals of making a positive impact in the world.
