Joining as the first hire for the new Industrial Assets office in Maidenhead, the focus for this role has been to build out a Technical Services Hub from scratch including policies, benefits, systems, contracts, payroll, and the office itself- Coordinated the relocation of 22 employees from Glencore offices worldwide, with a primary focus on South Africa, by partnering with tax and mobility specialists to ensure seamless transitions- Developed a personalised onboarding programme for over 40 new hires, resulting in a first year employee retention rate of 94%- Led the implementation of the UK SuccessFactors platform, aligning portlets with company policies and legal requirements to facilitate enhanced dashboard reporting in line with global reporting needs- Designed and launched a comprehensive benefits package including wellbeing allowances, enhanced parental leave, and financial protections- Led the deployment of Concur for expense management and TMF for payroll processing, integrating both systems with SuccessFactors to streamline operational efficiency- Collaborated with external legal counsel to overhaul employee contracts, simplifying terminology for greater clarity and accessibility- Worked closely with EY to secure a new Home Office sponsorship license under the newly established entity and successfully led a TUPE process for 19 employees to ensure a smooth transition- Partnered with the Recruitment Lead to create a 4-year headcount forecast across a £9 million annual payroll budget- Designed and implemented a Lunch & Learn programme alongside organising seasonal events in line with the continuous learning culture and to provide opportunities for knowledge sharing across the business- Managed several complex failed probation cases from end to end, ensuring understanding and compliance with UK legislation from international managers.
