ABOUT CHARLOTTE JOHNSON
I write for a living. Now that we’ve established I’m a bit of a dreamer, let’s get stuck in. I wasn\'t a huge fan of my school days, but on one particular day I felt alive. My media teacher played a snippet of The Bourne Ultimatum. I was hooked. How could anyone have written something so tense, exciting and complex? Ever since, I’ve strived towards a career in writing. Marketing was an idea sprung on me by my careers advisor after I found myself completely overwhelmed by the many different avenues I could take following graduation. People love stories. I love to tell them through the written word. A career in the marketing industry allows me to incorporate my creative and commercial mind, by connecting brands with people through engaging content. A few years on and I love the whole process: from idea creation and copywriting, to social media and content strategy. I currently work with brands in a wide range of industries across the UK, writing everything from social media posts and press releases, to blogs and web content. Quick reference from one of my dearest friends – “Anything you try you’re good at”. She obviously hasn’t seen me ski.
