As a Projects Coordinator in the City of Ocala\'s Growth Management department, I manage projects focusing on grants, events, arts initiatives, and stakeholder coordination. I collaborate with internal departments, external organizations, and the community to support growth, revitalization, and cultural enrichment- Grants Management: Assist in the intake, processing, and tracking of Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and Brownfields grants in coordination with the Economic Development Manager and team. Support compliance with funding requirements and deadlines while streamlining operations- Event Coordination & Permitting: Plan and execute cultural arts events, including Levitt AMP Ocala, First Friday Art Walk, and Tuscawilla Art Park Series, supporting local artists and fostering community engagement- Process Development: Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for CRA and Brownfields grants, event management, and permitting, as well as other internal processes. Support the review and coordination of developer agreements, ensuring alignment with City policies and redevelopment goals- Community Outreach & Public Engagement: Facilitate community outreach by engaging residents, businesses, and stakeholders in economic and cultural initiatives, including participation in Vision 2050, first as a citizen and later as a City employee- Public & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a liaison to Ocala Main Street, representing the City in board meetings and coordinating efforts with businesses and property owners. Collaborate with Ocala Metro Chamber & Economic Partnership (CEP) and other stakeholders- Website & Communications: Maintain the Growth Management section of the City’s website, ensuring accurate and timely updates on grants, events, and projects- Funding & Development: Research and identify new funding sources, including grants, donations, and sponsorships to support arts initiatives, events, and redevelopment.
