ABOUT CHARLIE ZEIGLER
I am a graduate of California State University Fullerton with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. In college I learned how to use programs such as Solidworks, LaTeX, Matlab, and AutoCAD. I also learned about physics, dynamics, kinematics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, statics, and mechanics of materials to give me the theoretical background to apply in my design problems. I was also part of the Formula SAE 20••••22 design team and was given the role of Chief Engineer. I am planning on taking the FE exam in 2023. I currently work at Repligen Corporation as a Mechanical Design Engineer. I utilize best practices for updating and revising drawings, as well as checking and approving said updates. Manufacturing drawings, fabrications drawings, and assembly drawings are created by me, as well as designing parts and assemblies used in our processes. I use additive manufacturing processes to verify and test designs before approving them for manufacturing from vendors. I keep and maintain vendor relationships to keep on good terms and also work together and communicate with them to resolve any discrepancies that may arise. At home, I have a Prusa i3 3D Printer to print designs I\'ve made. In my free time I have been studying Finite Element Analysis theory, CATIA, and Solidworks Simulation. I am actively seeking out new projects to create using additive manufacturing, design, and analysis to solve problems in my everyday life.
