ABOUT CHARLIE JOHNSON
Hello! I’m Charlie Johnson, a second-year student at Michigan State University pursuing a double major in Public Policy and Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Business through the College of Social Science and the Honors College. I’m passionate about understanding how the U.S. government functions, exploring the law, and engaging with real-world policy making and how it impacts people. I’m driven by data and the impact that policies and people have on one another and eager to translate this passion into meaningful work. I plan on continuing my education after receiving a degree in Public Policy, either in a masters program or law school. This spring, I’m currently interning at Delta Dental in the Government Programs department, diving into data analytics and provider networks to help support different state-level programs. This summer, I’m excited to shift gears and join the Lansing Board of Water & Light on their Government & Community Relations team, exploring planning, community engagement, and the policy side of public service.
