In my role at Commify I lead two development teams delivering change to internal and customer-facing systems within this major CPaaS provider. Commify runs 14 international brands giving users the ability to flexibly communicate with their own customers. These brands stretch throughout Europe and as far as Australia and the United States giving the company global reach.I lead a team focusing on the primary customer facing message sending application. This highly-effective team is geographically distributed across the UK, Spain, Romania and Ukraine so fostering effective team working has been essential to the team’s success.Additionally I lead a second team which develops the core rich content messaging systems, primarily focused around WhatsApp and RCS across legacy and new strategic platforms. The WhatsApp and RCS messaging formats continue to grow in demand as customers seeks to develop richer and more interactive conversations with their own users. Commify’s software development lifecycle is highly progressive and delivers change continuously through its ever-evolving CICD pipelines. Robust quality and having confidence in our changes is key when deploying at pace like this. Commify’s focus on modern agile approaches has been key to the company’s success and it has been a great learning opportunity for me personally.
