ABOUT CHARLIE STAFFORD-ROBERTS

A first class honours BSc(Hons) Physics with Astrophysics Graduate from the University of York. I am currently working as an Advanced Public Health Information Analyst at Norfolk County Council (Data Analyst). I am a keen and energetic person, priding myself on my ability to learn and quickly adapt to new situations. I thrive in a fast paced and ever changing environment, where I am constantly introduced to new information, where I can consider fresh approaches and apply previously obtained knowledge to overcome challenges. I am very data driven, and enjoy the process of parsing, analysing and presenting large sets of data. In my current job, I have a lead role managing the Covid-19 Vaccination rollout data, creating and maintaining the NCC vaccinations dashboard, a self serving portal for council and NHS colleagues to find data and insights about vaccination progress and inequalities. I routinely respond to bespoke deep dive analysis requests for vaccination data from external partners, generally looking at characteristics of individuals to find vaccination uptake by parameters such as age, ethnicity and location. This work is essential as it enables service targeting to reach those most in need. The datasets involved are large and often unstructured which present exciting challenges when bringing them all together in a dashboard format. I take to these with great enthusiasm, utilising my analysis skills efficiently and effectively. I am highly proficient in R and PowerBI, both of which I use on a daily basis in my current role. I also frequently use SQL to access and load data into my analysis and dashboards. I also have good experience using Python, both for data analysis and mathematical modelling, having used it throughout my degree, and in previous jobs. I am highly interested in machine learning and am always looking for opportunities within my current role to utilise Decision Intelligence.
