ABOUT CHARLIE SMITH

While spanning a twenty-five year professional career, my diverse background includes operations, budget, and community administration as well as close interaction with board and council members. This experience covers many facets of community and municipal governance, a licensed CAM and includes: • Community General Manager – For nine years was manager of an unincorporated community of residents. Duties included responsibilities for all community operations including supervision of 150 employees, budget preparation and monitoring of an $8 million operation, overall net profit, conduct board meetings using Roberts Rules, familiarity with their March election process and responsible for daily operations that included golf course, clubhouse, two restaurants, all common areas, swimming pool and lake maintenance. • Municipal and Community Finance Director – Developed award winning budgets and year-end reports while working with the Board and Town Manager on organizational restructuring to provide a higher level of service for a lower cost, developed and implemented RFP\'s for service requests and worked with vendors and their respective contracts. • Municipal Finance Manager – Responsible for budget development, revenue collections, payables and billings for a $150 million operation.
