As a Research Assistant at Ann Arbor Baptist Church, my primary responsibility is to assist the pastors with exegesis. For each passage, I immerse myself in the Greek. When I\'ve sufficiently absorbed the text, I produce an amplified translation with inline commentary. Next, I write out a more detailed commentary. Last, I read other commentaries to see if there\'s anything I missed, updating my work accordingly. Note that I do not write the sermons; I produce an exegetical commentary. My work is the starting point, but each pastor makes the message his own by developing homiletic structure, illustration, and application.In addition to exegesis, God has also given me the opportunity to disciple several others. I teach them to look to Him, and He works powerfully in their lives.
