ABOUT CHARLIE HAMMOND
Charlie is a Digital Transformation Manager helping develop digital strategies and implementing staff development across 7 campuses. He has been developing pedagogical and management practices by embracing transformational Edtech and defining disruptive change through positive practice. He transformed his teaching and learning through the use of emerging technologies and has used Cloud-based platforms effectively to improve systems and management of work. He has worked in the Further Education sector for 22 years, delivering at all levels, from NVQ level 2 through to PGCE courses at level 7. He is a Silver Award holder for the Pearson\'s Teaching Awards in the \'Outstanding Use of Technology\' category. He also made it to the finalist\'s panel for \'Teacher of the Year Award\' and was given a commendation (2017). He was also a finalist in the Bett awrds or technology impact award (2018). His background is in Adventure sport and he continues to be the course leader for a L3 Btec Diploma in Outdoor Adventure at Coleg Sir Gar. He has a record of rock climbing from across the UK to big wall climbing in Yosemite. He has organised many climbing trips to Spain and Greece along with a mountaineering trip to the Himalayas. To add to this he has kayaked in the French, Swiss and Austrian Alps.
