ABOUT CHARLIE DELUNE

As a kid, I was always told to \"go into computers\" when I got to college. The first time I tried for a degree, I went for Math Ed because \"you can\'t just go into computers.\" Math Ed didn\'t take, and I floated around for a long time before a manager at an internship realized my potential and sat me with Engineers instead of my own fellow Testers, and suddenly things started to click.Fast forward to now, and I\'m a Full-Stack Software Engineer with several years of experience under my belt, a degree with honors, and a love for my career I never thought possible. I love solving the puzzles, creating new ways of eliminating problems, and I love making things, especially things people can use. I crave learning, trying, thinking, sharing, and even teaching.I have strong experience in modern backend languages like C# and Java, database technologies like MySQL and MongoDB, and frontend libraries like React and Angular. I have a strong love of developing scalable APIs, designing complex data structures, and creating clean UIs for customers to use.My dream is to one day marry my love of coding with my personal passions such as gaming (have you tried the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV?) or music (I play guitar and am currently learning the piano), or to use those programming skills to make a difference in a field I care about, such as healthcare, education, politics, or the arts.
