Wallace Carlson Printing is an award-winning print company founded in 1931. Since its origin, it’s expanded into a national digital printing, packaging and mailing services provider. In 2010, I was hand-picked to help the company turn around and gain a competitive edge. After extensive analysis, I quickly found ways to increase efficiencies and reduce waste. My recommendations focused on initiatives that would yield significant impact with relatively minimal initial investment. One key factor was leveraging automation to optimize productivity. As the company has moved to a more mature and stable growth, our vision has shifted towards achieving sustainable increase and targeting new niches. Taking Wallace Carlson to the forefront of printing, we have expanded into folding carton production and have leveraged state-of-the-art equipment in order to push our production beyond previous possibilities. Today, our methodology of Repeatability, Measurability and Speed (RMS) is at the core of everything we do.
