My roots in computer technology started with a company called MicroMart back in college. I sold and installed computers. I then worked for another computer store called Micro National here in Birmingham. I sold, installed, trained on, and repaired computers as well as did a little programming on the side. The programming lead to my start at Tapscan which began my broadcast television software career. I am now embarking full circle on the computer technical path that I started on. This endeavor is called TailWinds Technologies. I am again working with a very talented staff solving IT issues and technical problems for local businesses. OneDomain had a number of IT guys over the years trying to maintain our little company and allow it to grow. Some were okay, some were just bad, and one was very, very good. Even the very, very good one was just one guy. Any single IT guy is subject to illness, vacations, and better opportunities. TailWinds, had it existed, could have solved all this. TailWinds has more than one good IT guy, and we have a suite of tools and capabilities to compliment any IT situation. We can supplement an IT staff or we can be that IT staff. We can monitor servers 24/7 remotely to detect and prevent problems from even happening. We provide backup solutions for the inevitable problems that do happen. We can supply networking planning and support, cameras, security, and virus protection for the enterprise. We can even help plan and manage cloud computing. Our goal is to make IT an asset and not a cost and frustration center. I am looking forward to working closely with clients again. We have already had some nice success stories. Our team consists of Daniel Herrera, the very good tech guy that solved OneDomain\'s issues, Josh Nakashima-another great tech, Lallie Houston-Marketing, Stephen Upton Jr-Sales and GM, Don Bennett-Software Projects, Barbara Bennett-Sales Tax, and Eduardo A. Salgado-Databases.
