ABOUT CHARLES-ALEXANDRE VENNAT

I am a private equity backed President & CEO with a track record of leading manufacturing businesses through growth, operational transformation, and ownership transitions. A dynamic and fluently bilingual (EN/FR) leader, I specialize in scaling manufacturing platforms, strengthening commercial and service capabilities, and driving disciplined value creation.I currently serve as President & CEO of CMI Mulching, a Canadian manufacturer of tracked mulching tractors and stump grinders supporting forestry, land-clearing, energy infrastructure, and wildfire mitigation throughout North America and Europe. My focus is building a performance-driven culture, elevating product quality, expanding distribution, and positioning the business for long-term growth. Prior to CMI, I served as President and Director of Bastos of Canada, and later as President & CEO of Greentone, and Chief Executive Officer and Director of 48North, a publicly traded CPG manufacturing company acquired by HEXO. Across these roles, I built high-performing teams, raised and deployed strategic capital, negotiated M&A transactions, and delivered results in competitive, highly regulated environments.I am committed to community involvement, including volunteering on boards of charitable foundations and supporting causes related to education, healthcare, and the armed forces. I am also an active member of YPO.I hold an MA (Hons) in Business Studies & Economics from the University of Edinburgh and an MBA from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University.
