About Charles Tseng

Board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a fellowship trained cosmetic surgeon and reconstructive microsurgeon. I am a Clinical Professor at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. I co-founded and serve as Co-Director of the UCLA Santa Monica Breast Center - the first integrated practice unit in the UCLA Health System. I am a member of the Medical Staff Executive Committee at the UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center.My approach to surgery focuses on compassionate, patient centered care in cosmetic surgery and reconstructive surgery of the breast. I believes that natural and long-lasting results are achieved through surgical expertise and a passion for the art and science of this unique surgical specialty. I have published high-impact papers in a number of peer reviewed journals, authored book chapters, given seminars and presentations at national meetings, and partnered with community organizations to raise breast cancer awareness. In 2011, I was part of the surgical team at UCLA that performed the first hand transplant in the western United States. I also serve on the editorial board of the Annals of Plastic Surgery. In addition to my clinical practice, I advise emerging start-ups that are at the forefront of developing cutting edge technologies and services.I am a native of Los Angeles and graduated from the Harvard-Westlake School. I earned my B.A. and M.D. at Columbia University. I completed my MBA at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.Specialties: Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery procedures, first time and revision Breast Augmentation, Face-lift, Blepharoplasty, Abdominoplasty, Breast Reconstruction using DIEP free tissue transfer and implant techniques, Mommy Makeover, non-invasive facial rejuvenation (Botox, Juvederm, and other fillers).
