About Charles A. Montgomery

I am a pastor, teacher, and leader shaped by a calling to see God’s kingdom made visible through transformed lives, reconciled relationships, and Spirit-filled communities. For more than two decades, my ministry has centered on helping individuals and organizations align around that vision- building cultures of discipleship, developing leaders, and guiding churches through seasons of growth and renewal. Across roles at Vineyard Columbus and now at Vineyard USA, I have operated at both the local and national level, serving congregations of significant scale and diversity while equipping networks of pastors and leaders across nearly 500 churches. I have helped shape preaching strategies, leadership systems, and discipleship models that support not only spiritual formation but also operational health and long-term sustainability. A defining chapter of my ministry was launching and leading Vineyard Columbus Pickerington. What began in a rented elementary school grew into a thriving, multiethnic congregation with a permanent, debt-free facility and a leadership structure built for continuity and growth. Earlier in my career, I developed large-scale ministry systems that mobilized thousands into active service, connecting individual calling to organizational need in ways that strengthened both community and mission. My leadership approach integrates theological grounding with systems thinking, shaped in part by my early career as a NASA engineer. I am drawn to environments where cultural fluency, emotional intelligence, and disciplined execution are essential to building trust and forward momentum. I invest deeply in leaders, creating structures where people grow in both capability and maturity. In addition to my pastoral role, I have also launched a consulting practice focused on helping churches and faith-based organizations strengthen leadership and build cultures that endure. My aim remains consistent: to support communities that reflect both spiritual depth and organizational integrity
