ABOUT CHARLES SCOTT
Since launching my first YouTube channel at age 10, I’ve been driven to pursue a career in media. Over the years, that passion has evolved into a deep commitment to visual storytelling - particularly through filming, editing, and live broadcast production. I take pride in creating content that is both impactful and engaging, whether it’s behind the camera or in a control room.I’m currently a sophomore Television, Radio, and Film major at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. In my first year alone, I gained hands-on experience across multiple areas of sports media. I intern with Syracuse Athletics’ Creative Department, where I shoot and edit hype videos for all of the teams on campus. I’m also an Associate Producer for On The Bench, CitrusTV’s SportsCenter-style show centered around Syracuse Athletics. This summer, I’m a Production Intern with the Premier Lacrosse League, creating feature stories, player spotlights, and shortform edits for ESPN, ABC, and SportsCenter, as well as content for the PLL’s social media platforms. I also tag and log footage, shoot video, and contribute to creative planning around all media coverage.Before Syracuse, I was Executive Coordinator for both StaplesTV and WWPT 90.3 FM, managing content, live broadcasts, and production crews for a student-run TV and radio station.I’m also a huge film buff—Christopher Nolan, Damien Chazelle, and Denis Villeneuve are some of my favorite directors.
