ABOUT CHARLES N.
With renewed health and passion, I am diving into a new and exciting career!Banner image by Andy Kale: Exploded view of the Ex-Alta 1 satellite My life goal is to be on the leading edge of science and technology, because that is where we as a society demonstrate our passion for discovery and our potential for progress. Oftentimes, getting there means creating the opportunities, for myself and others; that is what I do.As the Project Coordinator with AlbertaSat, I guided the next generation of AlbertaSat student team members through the critical design, assembly integration and testing, and mission and operations planning for three cube satellite missions participating in the Canadian Space Agency\'s Canadian CubeSat Project. In addition I helped the team plan and prepare for growth and obtain permanent infrastructure for future missions. This will ensure students at University of Alberta continue to have access to the best opportunities to learn and experience hands on space science and engineering. As a Co-Founder of Cultovo, I promoted finding better ways to manage our finite resources on Earth. Cultovo is a crop risk software company that improves crop insurance. We completed New York-based Food-X (2% global acceptance), the world\'s #1 food accelerator with investment from SOSV (>30% net IRR over the last 20 years; top 10% of all venture funds worldwide). Cultovo is also an alumni of NextAI (10% global acceptance), a Canadian program for high growth AI companies. As an undergraduate student, I led the development and launch of Alberta\'s first satellite, Ex-Alta 1, to study space weather, while creating opportunities for Albertans to join the space industry. As a high school student I led the implementation of the first solar panel system on a Central Alberta school, to help teach students and their communities about the impact of our individual carbon footprint.
