Acting UK & Ireland Regional Commercial Legal Lead (mat cover for Associate EMEA GC) performing the role and responsibilities of head of legal in the UK and I, reporting to Chief Legal Officer: Provideling people leadership and supervision. Acting as a trusted advisor and a key member of UK & I leadership team alongside regional General Managers, HR, Finance, and Operations Executives. Overseeing all legal functions within UK & I, supporting growth across EMEA markets, advising on legal and commercial implications of expansion, and establishing contracting, policy, and compliance standards in new EMEA territories. Leading negotiations and closures of complex, high-value UK & cross-border EMEA/global commercial transactions, ensuring risk mitigation and compliance adherence and supports RFP/ITT processes, strategic supplier procurement, subcontracting, and alliance partner contracting and relationship management. Leading/supervising complex, cross-border, enterprise technology transactions ranging from Microsoft/AWS/Salesforce/Google cloud platform, software, app and AI POC, MVP offerings to migration and implementation. Covering everything from white-label partnering, technology licence (including cloud - IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) to data protection and privacy, outsourcing/consultancy, strategic alliance, partner funding, subcontract or third party vendor agreements. Handling resolution of challenging UK & I client/vendor issues/disputes. Supporting Marketing team, with all external marketing collateral, ad hoc procurement, sponsorship, and competition ts & cs. Managing all UK and I property portfolio, rent review and extensions. Maintaining client, supplier, alliance and subcontracting templates and policies, and delivering legal training to sales and internal operations teams.
