About Charles C. Weeks
Charles received his Bachelor of Science degree from LaSalle University in Finance with a minor in Accounting, and his Juris Doctorate from Villanova University School of Law where he focused his studies on Tax and Estate planning. Charles has completed the Education, Examination, Experience, and Ethical requirements of the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc, and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Practitioner. Charles is the Founding Partner at Barrister, a Registered Investment Adviser in Pennsylvania, which provides financial planning, investment management and risk management for individuals and institutions, along with retirement plan and insurance solutions for business entities.Mr. Weeks spearheaded the effort to create the undergraduate Financial Planning Concentration and the Continuing Studies Certificate in Financial Planning at Stockton University. Both programs, once successfully completed, will allow students to fulfill the education prerequisite for the CFP® Certification Exam. Charles served for over a decade as a part-time Assistant Professor of Finance and an instructor for the Certificate Program at Stockton University. Finally, Charles founded Barrister Higher Learning, LLC, with the mission of empowering individuals with the knowledge necessary to manage their personal finances successfully. The company also offered an exam review and preparation courses for the CFP® exam along with continuing education courses for CFP® practitioners. Prior to founding Barrister, Charles was the Managing Director of a Registered Investment Advisor in Philadelphia, leading in the creation and build out of the firm. Mr. Weeks has worked in the Finance industry as both a Financial Advisor and Financial Analyst at Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and Accenture.
