Charles Crews is Executive Vice President & Chief Operations Officer of Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline. In this role he oversees all safety, operations, engineering, construction, environmental, supply chain, sustainability, and operational excellence matters for the company.As a member of the company’s chief executive leadership team, he also assists in leading its long-term value creation plan and corporate strategy.Prior to joining Southern Star, Charles served as President & CEO of the Northeast Gas Association (NGA), where he implemented key operational improvements and spearheaded the development of its renewed strategic plan with an emphasis on leading a balanced clean energy transition across the region.Before joining NGA, Charles served as President of an independent management consulting firm assisting clients on a broad spectrum of engagements including asset resilience, operations management, capital planning, and strategic plan development.His industry experience is both broad and unique, which positions him well as an industry thought leader where he actively deepens engagement with industry leaders and policy makers on the most pressing issues impacting the nation’s energy system.

The Greater Owensboro Economic Development Corporation also assists existing businesses with retention and expansion projects and to promote entrepreneurial growth.
