In April, I rejoined Durham Public Schools and the team at Hillside High School as a math teacher, teaching three sections of Math 1 and two sections of AP Precalculus. I supported students in preparing for their end-of-year exams, and I’m proud that many of our Math 1 students met the proficiency benchmark. We\'ll receive results for AP Precalculus in July. This was a brand-new course at our school, and I’m excited to continue building out our calculus pathway next year. I’m also honored to have been elected by my colleagues as our next Department Chair and look forward to leading our professional development efforts in the upcoming school year.
