BFSFCU is a full-service financial cooperative that was organized and chartered in 1947 as a convenient place for employees of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund and their families to save and to obtain credit. The World Bank Group lends to the central banks of sovereign nations and has two ambitious goals: to end extreme poverty within a generation and boost shared prosperity. The International Monetary Fund is an organization of 188 countries, working to foster global monetary cooperation, secure financial stability, facilitate international trade, promote high employment and sustainable economic growth, and reduce poverty around the world. In the past 68 years, BFSFCU has grown from 96 members and in assets to nearly members and over $4 Billion in assets while maintaining its original sponsor groups.
