Taught Applied Sustainability: Program Development and Management, a discussion based course that used case studies and thought experiments to explore sustainability in practice. Guided students through the process of defining sustainability and organizational values, reviewing landscapes and resources, identifying and understanding stakeholders, setting strategic and measurable goals, categorizing potential obstacles, outlining program plans, and program evaluation. Topics explored included carbon offsets, swine waste-to-energy, sustainability in higher education, renewable energy development, urban tree planting, transportation planning, and zero waste/circular economy.
