I’m an Emergency Management Specialist with an extensive career covering incident response, disasterresponse, and emergency management.I’ve been involved with some of the largest natural disasters across the United States and globally,providing operations, logistics, contract negotiation and support, and emergency medical support toorganizations like Team Rubicon, Net Hope, All Hands and Hearts, the Guatemalan Army, and theUnited Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).More recently, I’ve played in a key logistics and operations management and support role, aiding theMaryland Department of Health in the execution of Covid19 mass and mobile vaccination campaigns thathave delivered hundreds of thousands of doses across the State of Maryland.I am an avid hiker and outdoorsman, if it involves being out in nature I probably love it; cycling, climbing, diving, kayaking, fishing. I have received awards for photography, am a cellist and singer, as well as trained EMT and Wildland Firefighter.More than anything, I strive to reach beyond my comfort zone. Travel is one of my primary passions, exploring the world and meeting new people. Volunteering fills the same role, letting me meet new people and give something back in a difficult moment.I’m a definite foodie. I worked my way through high school and college in restaurants, from the kitchen of a West Indian restaurant, to work in internationally renowned French restaurants with James Beard chefs, to high volume clubs. In that time I did everything from cooking to bartending to boutique wine sales. I’m always on the lookout for new and exciting opportunities.
