ABOUT CHARLES SPERLING

Charles Sperling, CPhT, CNPR Charles Sperling brings over 13 years of experience in the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) sector. He launched his career at CatalystRx in 2011, which later merged into Catamaran and OptumRx. Initially, he worked in member services and prior authorizations, where he collaborated closely with patients and healthcare providers to navigate the complexities of pharmacy benefits. Over the past decade, he transitioned into Client Management, overseeing accounts that range in size from a few hundred employees to over 7 million health plan members. Charles possesses a comprehensive skill set in pharmacy benefit operations. His expertise encompasses account management, RFP and RFI processes, and navigating contractual agreements and rebate structures. He is adept at formulary optimization, specialty pharmacy programs, and home delivery pharmacy operations. His experience also includes customer service, Medicare Part D, project management, pharmacy network administration, and nuclear pharmacy. Residing in Henderson, Nevada, Charles enjoys quality time with his wife and family. In his leisure activities, he finds pleasure in playing billiards sports, and building or restoring electric guitars. He holds an Associate Degree in Pharmacy from Pima Medical Institute (2011) and is a National Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), a National Certified IV/Admixture Technician, and a Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Nevada. Additionally, he is certified through the National Association of Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives (NAPRx).
