Development Director
May 2013 — Present · Scottsdale, AZ, US
As Development Director for Scottsdale Community College (SCC), I serve as the chief development officer responsible for campus-wide planning and directing of all aspects of fundraising and capital development initiatives in support of faculty, staff, and the nearly credit and non-credit student customers. I am responsible for enhancing the vision and strategy for SCC’s development program, for overall fundraising leadership and coordination for all academic departments at SCC. Through identification, education, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of individuals, foundations and corporations, I advance the educational, research and service priorities for these units and provide much needed financial resources to allow students to achieve success at SCC. As the DOD, I work closely with key faculty, administrators, department chairs, volunteers, and provide strong leadership for staff, while assuming responsibility for the development and implementation of a strategic plan for philanthropy. I personally manage a significant portfolio of major/principal gift donors and prospects, and provide ongoing support for fundraising activities. To successfully fulfill my goals, I utilize my interpersonal and communication skills necessary to build strong relationships and partnerships internally and externally.
