As a foreign service officer, I\'ve had the privilege of representing U.S. interests around the world. In September 2022 I began serving as Political Counselor at U.S. Embassy Mexico City. From July 2021 to July 2022, I served at U.S. Embassy Kabul during the Taliban takeover of Kabul, at the Kabul Airport, and then at our Afghan Affairs Unit in Doha, engaging the Taliban to advance U.S. interests. From October 2018 to July 2021, I was the deputy political counselor at U.S. Embassy Athens, where I encouraged a closer U.S-Greece bilateral relationship by helping negotiate an update to our mutual defense cooperation agreement.I served at U.S. Embassy Kabul from August 2018 to August 2019 as the political external affairs unit chief, where I helped lead interagency teams facilitating intra-Afghan reconciliation. I served as the political section chief at U.S. Consulate General Ho Chi Minh City from July 2014 until June 2017, covering Vietnam\'s dynamic southern region and reporting on human rights, domestic political developments, and our bilateral relationship. From late 2011 to August 2013 I was the country desk officer for Uzbekistan, focusing on all aspects of our bilateral relationship, including Uzbekistan\'s role in facilitating cargo shipments to and from Afghanistan, economic growth, regional political issues, science and technology cooperation, and human rights. From August 2010 to November 2011, I worked as a watch officer at the Secretary\'s 24-hour emergency Operations Center. The Operations Center briefs Department leaders on crisis management issues and connects them with world leaders. From 2008-10, I served at U.S. Embassy La Paz, where I was the Embassy\'s primary reporting officer on internal politics, the bilateral relationship, and human rights issues. My first tour was in New Delhi, India, where I worked from late 2005 to early 2008 as a consular officer and developed my Hindi language skills.
