ABOUT CHARLES PEMBROKE

Charles \"Chuck\" Pembroke is a managing partner with Meraki Search Group, a boutique firm differentiated by a partner led, client-centered approach. We go deep in understanding client goals, business strategies and culture and leverage decades of industry operating expertise to identify, attract and develop fit-for-purpose talent. We are privileged to serve both leading organizations and financial sponsors and provide support across board, C-suite and key functional leadership roles. Chuck brings over 30 years of management consulting, business leadership and executive search experience with a passion for how high performing teams can drive meaningful impact. Before joining Meraki, he was a Partner with Heidrick & Struggles in the firm\'s Industrial practice and led the Global Paper and Packaging specialty practice. His clients include both publicly traded and privately backed businesses across the paper, packaging and materials sector as well as adjacencies including discrete and process manufacturing, building products, chemicals and engineered products. He has served clients for key roles across the C-suite and Board level as well as leadership roles in commercial, supply chain, operations and human resources.Before his career in executive search, Chuck had a 20-year career in the paper and packaging industry servicing as Group Vice President at Evergreen Packaging, a privately backed integrated supplier of fiber-based packaging. Prior to Evergreen, he held several functional and staff leadership roles with International Paper. Earlier in his career, Chuck served as a consultant with Towers Watson, focusing on strategy and organization effectiveness for clients in financial services, energy and pharmaceutical sectors. He began his career providing strategy and marketing counsel to financial institutions in leveraged finance and commercial banking for a boutique management consulting firm.Chuck earned his MBA in finance and international business from Columbia Business School and a bachelor\'s degree in economics from Colgate University. He is certified in several leadership assessment methodologies.
