Received direct appointment as Clinical Associate Professor of Health Policy and Management and Director of the Center for Rural Health Practice and Research of the Georgia Southern University, Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health (JPHCPH) and. Primary teaching responsibilities include health policy, systems, administration and finance. As Director of the Center, holds primary responsibility for leadership and direction for Center activities focused on efforts to improve the health status of rural and under-served communities. The JPHCPH and Center serves as the administrative home of the Georgia Rural Health Association as of August 2015; I currently serve as President-elect and have been a Board Member since 2005. Additionally, I continue to serve on Governor Nathan Deal’s Rural Hospital Stabilization Committee, of which I received appointment in 2014, working with rural communities to bring financial stability to rural hospitals and their health care delivery systems.
