ABOUT CHARLES O. BUSBY
Taking a strong career in welding and fitting, with a reputation for quality and safety, it was natural that I would move into NDT testing and inspection. I have been a part of numerous projects across a wide range of sectors over the last years and continue to refine my skills while also training and supervising groups. I am keen to develop further in this field, gain further NDT qualifications and continue to build my reputation as a key part of the quality process. My responsibilities and achievements to date include- Performing visual inspections and reporting on findings on welded connections, industrial piping, machined components and materials for a range of clients, according to requirements and specifications- Following visual inspection with a range of Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle and Ultrasonic testing methods to provide further insights into reliability and quality of joints and components- Coordinating between departments to enable fulfillment of objectives within deadlines, consistently delivered all tasks within deadlines and with no safety incidents- Evaluating results using a vast range of technical equipment and recognizing common issues- Supervising team of inspectors for different projects, covering operation manager position and training staff within all roles as required on all aspects of NDT and welding and fitting best practice
