Key Responsibilities:• Led and coordinated all operational, maintenance, and project interface activities at the Bacton Gas Terminal, a critical facility supplying over 10% of the UK’s gas demand (with the Bacton Complex contributing approximately 30%).• Directly managed the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team and provided indirect oversight to project, campaign, logistics, and security teams to ensure seamless terminal operations.• Accountable for the safe and efficient execution of maintenance activities, minor modifications, plant operations, fabric maintenance, and site logistics.• Optimized the use of key business systems and tools, including SAP, Permit Vision, Operational Risk Assessment (PR03), Asset Management System (AMS), Ensure Safe Production, Manage Threats and Opportunities, Power BI, UTL reporting and handover tools, and Pi systems for plant monitoring.• Served as the COMAH/HSE Case custodian, ensuring compliance with top-tier Major Accident Hazard Site regulatory requirements.• Deputy Plant Manager, serving as the designated delegate in the Plant Manager’s absence.• Owned and managed the Permit to Work system, including resolution of SIMOPs (Simultaneous Operations) issues, high-risk work permit approvals, and contract management for key service providers and JV/third-party interfaces.• Managed relationships with external stakeholders, including third-party customers and partners operating within the terminal.• Custodian of the VST/ST Integrated Activity Plan, ensuring alignment of operational and strategic activities.• Responsible for managing the terminal’s operational expenditure (OPEX), with accountability for a £26 million annual budget.
