About Charles Higgins
As a Solar Site Operator at ENGIE North America Inc, I was responsible for all aspects of operations and maintenance of five solar sites, totaling 265 MW, located in Virginia, North Carolina, and Delaware. With over five years of experience in the renewable energy sector, I have developed skills and knowledge in alternative energy, electrical wiring, and control circuits, which enable me to operate and maintain various types of solar and wind power systems and equipment.I have worked with minimal or remote supervision, managing multiple sites and contractors, and developing processes and procedures for newly commissioned sites. I have also performed corrective and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and replacing components, commissioning and testing installations, and using various tools and equipment, such as MEGGER and I/V CURVE TRACING. My mission is to apply the resources available in a given situation to reach an efficient solution, and my goal is to contribute to the transition to clean and renewable energy sources.
