LEADERSHIP STYLE: I believe that managers succeed or fail based on their ability to make their organization succeed. I have three key beliefs on leading organizations. 1) Create an atmosphere of respect, trust and transparency at all levels of the organization. 2) Place people where their skills and abilities have synergy with the job function and trust them. 3) The buck stops at my desk. If my organization succeeds, I succeed, and my organization shares the credit. If my organization fails, it means that I have failed, and I accept the blame. EXPERIENCE: I have been in the IT industry for over 24 years with more than half of that time spent in leadership positions. I have a history of accepting challenges and stretching my own abilities and the abilities of my organization to achieve results. BUSINESS ADVOCACY: I am a firm believer that IT does not exist for the sake of IT. IT exists to delivery desired technology services to enable the business to succeed. The needs of the business dictate IT strategic and tactical decisions. TECHNOLOGY LEADERSHIP: In IT there are a variety of technologies than can leveraged to achieve the objective. Technology preferences of the individual should be left at the door. The choice of technology should be based on the organizations ability to support it, exploit it for all that it is worth and if the organization can afford it over its useful life.
