Responsible for research, innovation, and development in the delivery of innovative workplace solutions throughout the federal government. Previously served as Director of Design and Construction, Regional Recovery Executive, Director of Property Development; and Director of Construction. Before joining GSA, was an architect with firms in Florida, Colorado, and Illinois practicing in the areas of real estate development and commercial architectural design. Also a retired officer of the U.S. Air Force.Holds two degrees from the University of Minnesota: a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Environmental Design as well as Executive Program certificates from Harvard University and the University of Texas. Frequently speaks nationally on workplace transformation and moving the government to a 21st century workplace. A licensed architect as well as a certified construction manager and published in AIA Architect Magazine, contributed to two books on transformative practices and written for numerous other publications. A leader in integrated project delivery within the Federal government. Active in both the public and professional community having served as an ex-officio board member of the Construction Managers Association of America, as a trustee for the Construction Users Roundtable (CURT), on the Board of Directors for the Chicago ACE Mentor Program, and a member of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) Public-Private Industry Advisory Council.
