Organise the inoculation and assessment of disease resistance tests in broadleaf and cereal crops for the Variety and Recommended Lists purposes.• Assist the UKCPVS lead researcher with a lab-based isolation and multiplication of fungal rust and mildew isolates, isolates pathotyping, and assessment of disease resistance to these pathogens in cereal crops under growth room and field conditions.• Organise and deliver the practical pathology, nematology and entomology work for a number of research projects and contract work. This may include molecular biology, glasshouse, growth room, and field trial work.
