Charles has significant global experience especially in Asia.Charles spent most of his career in the Health Care Industry with Becton Dickinson until his retirement in 2016 as a Senior Vice President after 27 years. He has championed new innovation sources that include start-up incubators in the US and Singapore. Charles was responsible for BD\'s Technology Leadership Development Program that provides leadership training and experience across multiple assignments. Charles is Chairman of the Board or RecurX Bio, an advsior to Xylyx and Proteona and serves on the Board of HALE.Life. Previously, he served as Chairman of the Board of an incubator in Singapore that was a joint venture between BD and Johns Hopkins Medicine. Charles was Chairman of the Board of Ibiliti a non-profit focused on growing the Med Tech industry in N C and served on the Board of Synecor.Charles served 6 years on the board of the Eastern North Carolina chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.Charles service includes the Board of NC BIO, and advisory committees for the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department at Princeton, the Whiting School of Engineering at Johns Hopkins and the Chemical and BioMolecular Engineering Department also at Hopkins.Charles received an award from the Johns Hopkins University for distinguished alumni service. He received several awards from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
