ABOUT CHARLES COLLINS
I started my career working on the Electrical Distribution Crew for Troy Utilties back in July of 2005. We officially started our UAS program a little over 4 years ago in early 2018. I’ve held a current Part 107 for the past 5 years and have been involved in the hobby side for well over 10 years. Since the start of our program we have grown exponentially and have seen the benefit this technology has brought to our industry. From your average inspection and mapping of our electrical assets to performing storm damage assessments and restoration after natural disasters. The use of UAS for us has proven to be a much safer and more effective way to inspect our critical infrastructure. As our industry continues to grow we look forward to the exciting possibilities this technology has to offer in the future.
