ABOUT CHARLES CARPENTER

Charles C. Carpenter, CFM, SFP, MSIS, has worked in Facility Management since 1995 and is a Facilities Manager with strong project management and customer service experience. He has a proven record of completing new construction, moves, adds and changes that are on time, under budget and completed with minimal downtime. Charles has managed several cross-country facility integrations, as a result of mergers or acquisitions. After OpenText\'s acquisition of Micro Focus, he managed multiple managers, coordinators and contractors across North and South America. Previously, he has since managed sites in North and South America and the global signage conversions when the merger of Micro Focus and Hewlett Packard Enterprise\'s Software Division became one of the largest pure-play software companies in the world. Before becoming Micro Focus, Charles managed facilities around the world for Hewlett-Packard > Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Harte-Hanks & First American > Corelogic, often integrating companies through mergers & acquisitions or working on corporate divestitures.Charles is a Certified Facility Manager (CFM) and Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP) from the International Facility Management Association (IFMA). He has presented at conferences across North America and in Europe, published articles on a variety of Facility Management related topics, and served as FM Frequency columnist for Facility Executive (dba Today’s Facility Manager).Charles serves on the Board of Directors of Sammy\'s House, an Austin non-profit that provides care for medically-fragile and developmentally-delayed children, where he is presently Treasurer. He also volunteers with Little League, Special Olympics and the Down Home Ranch.
