He has been a bobtail driver, service technician, vehicle mechanic, route supervisor, purchasing agent, safety instructor, field operations manager, and branch manager. During his 20 years in the propane industry, he has set ASME tanks, installed and repaired gas systems and appliances, delivered propane, requalified and filled DOT cylinders, performed annual inspections related to the DOT certification of cargo vehicles, provided safety instruction, evaluated safety performance from a conformance standpoint, and performed code compliance reviews, just to name a few of his job duties. In addition to propane systems, Mr. Brown has extensive experience with residential and commercial natural gas installations because he worked as a journeyman gas fitter and welder. Mr. Brown also has hands-on experience related to HVAC controls and basic electricity, boiler operation, firefighting, emergency response, fire science, arson investigation, and heavy equipment operation (backhoe, track loader, tandem dump truck, skid-steer loader, telescoping crane, trolley crane, excavator, and small dozer).
