ABOUT CHARLENE MCAULEY

I am a law graduate with a 2.1 (hons) LLB in Law from the University of Warwick, and an LLM in Human Rights Law (cross-border) from Queen\'s University Belfast and the National University of Ireland, Galway.I worked as a Senior Finance Administrator for a top 15 Housing Association for 2.5 yrs, dealing predominantly in treasury and regulatory compliance. I administered the organisation\'s £1.4bn loan portfolio, ensuring compliance with both financial and information covenants. I have also been involved in transfer of engagements exercises, and a £250m bond issue. In addition, I was an independent member of the Thames Area Panel for Radian Housing Association. I joined Forde Campbell LLC as a legal secretary/personal assistant in May 2013, before being made Practice Office Manager in March 2014. I completed my apprenticeship with Forde Campbell LLC as a Trainee Solicitor, taking up the role of Assistant Solicitor - Commercial Litigation in November 2016. I moved to Donaldson Legal Consulting in September 2017 and worked as a negotiator, responsible for drafting and negotiating ISDAs, GMSLAs, GMRAs, EFETs and ancillary documentation for a range of top tier banks, latterly working as part of Barclays in-house legal team working primarily with its diamond clients.I joined the Finance & Projects Unit of Baker McKenzie as a junior lawyer in November 2018, before being promoted to Lawyer in July 2021 and Manager in 2023.
