ABOUT CHARLENE GRANT
I’m a senior in-house recruitment professional working in professional services, partnering closely with Partners and senior leaders to deliver hiring that is fair, effective and commercially sound.I own recruitment strategy across Business Operations, including Legal, Digital Transformation, HR, Compliance, IT and Facilities. My role goes beyond delivery. I shape hiring plans, challenge assumptions, improve processes and help leaders make better decisions in complex, regulated environments.A key part of my work is improving how hiring is done. I design and deliver training for senior hiring managers on inclusive, structured and evidence-based recruitment, helping to reduce bias, strengthen decision-making and improve candidate experience without slowing the business down. I’m always looking for the cultural “add” rather than the cultural “fit”, and I support hiring managers to think more broadly about what good looks like.I’m particularly experienced in stakeholder-heavy environments where clarity, trust and sound judgement matter. I work best where expectations are high, priorities compete and recruitment needs to operate as a true business partner rather than a transactional function.I’m known for being practical, calm and honest in my approach. I build strong relationships, ask the right questions and support leaders to make confident hiring decisions, even under pressure. My interests sit at the intersection of recruitment strategy, governance, inclusive hiring and continuous improvement within professional services.
