I have been active in AHLA since and have held, and continue to hold, active leadership positions in the organization. The Board of Directors of AHLA is a very active board, and oversees implementation of the operations and strategic plans of the organization. I was elected as President-Elect Designate of AHLA with a 1-year term beginning July 2014, will serve as President-Elect of AHLA for a 1-year term beginning in July 2015 and will become President of AHLA for a 1-year term beginning July 2016.

ABOUT CHARLENE MCGINTY
I concentrate my practice in the areas of health law and regulatory compliance, and have represented a broad range of heatlh care providers and entities, including hospitals and health systems, physician and physician organizations, ancillary service providers and other related entities working in the health care industry. I primarily work with clients in transactional matters (mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, professional service agreements), and in other compliance/regulatory matters (tax exemption issues, corporate governance, internal invesigations). In addition, I work with physicians/physician groups in all aspects of their practice. In addition to my practice, I speak and write on healthcare related topics on a national basis. I have worked with the American Health Lawyers Association for many years and have held, and continue to hold, active leadership positions in the organization. Additionally, I have held active leadership roles on a state level in the Health Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia.
