ABOUT CHARLENE GRAY

An Economics and Social Science/Research graduate with strong Learning and Development and banking operations experience. Currently now part of the Operations and Technology Learning, Leadership and Talent team where I liaise with the business on all matters relating to LL & T. I work closely with the HRBPs of the area as well as the Managing Directors and one of my key strengths is collaboration. I deliver training on a regular basis within our Graduate Development and Apprenticeship programmes. I manage the core curriculum and I am regarded as a trusted advisor in all aspects of our values (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence and Stewardship). I was a project manager for the LL & T Centre of Excellence in a high profile global project where we moved a large number of roles from high cost locations to medium/low cost locations. I led the project around helping ensure there was the right skill set, core leadership capabilities, an effective Talent framework was in place and the employees received the entire L&D core curriculum offering and it suited the needs. I also made sure there was a full induction programme to welcome the employees. Previously, I was part of a Trading Operations team, single handedly training other members of staff in this role whilst continuing to produce a high standard of service to both the Equity MO and trading desks. A strong work ethic, with people and technical skills coupled with the ability to work well within a team as well as individually has led me to be classed as a valuable member of staff within the workplace. I have developed strong relationships across the LL & T team and I am now one of the main contacts for all mentoring, Learning, Leadership and Talent initiatives. I have consistently proved the ability to work within highly pressurized environment as well as carry out project work to improve current processes. I have applied positive changes to current procedures and implemented new processes.
