ABOUT CHARLEIGH J. FLOHR

Charleigh Flohr is a researcher at the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the public education and outreach arm of the largest LGBTQ civil rights organization in the United States. She supports the programmatic work of the foundation by conducting statistical analyses, by mapping population and demographic trends, and by advising staff using data-driven methods. Charleigh has been part of the HRC Foundation, where she interned during graduate school, for two years. In that time, she has been integral to the production of numerous research reports on issues affecting LGBTQ youth well-being, violence and hate crimes against transgender and gender non-conforming communities, as well as the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the LGBTQ community. Charleigh joined HRC Foundation after completing her graduate studies in statistics and econometrics at the Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy. She also has over half a decade of experience in research, including various roles at the National Center for Transgender Equality, Center for American Progress, Democracy Fund, Congressional Management Foundation, and the Edgar Dyer Institute of Leadership and Public Policy. Her past research has been published, presented at regional conferences, and received competitive research awards.
