My roots in Healthcare IT stem from establishing and directing IT departments and coordinating the release of Healthcare IT system solutions in a variety of settings ranging from independent physician group practices to enterprise wide health systems. I have a strong background in process improvement and building operational excellence of Healthcare IT Systems (HIPAA, HCIT, ONC compliance), setting up help desk and delivery of application support across multiple organizations and locations. Responsibilities have included strategic planning, budgeting and staffing of healthcare IT solutions.Focus on software solution integration into a provider’s day-to-day operations has led me to develop a strong background in workflow analysis and process improvement that I have been able to apply to new software solutions. Recent projects include the new product introductions of electronic prescribing of controlled substances and electronic medication prior authorization. I am a resolute end-user evangelist, always looking to add value and improve the “real world” experience for customers.
